Data server co-locations

EZ & EV Ranges

In order to provide more flexibility and versatility, the EZ and EV ranges possess a modular design in order to accommodate different unit capacities, cabinet configurations and space constraints, especially at the installation stage.

The EZ Range offers a direct expansion system using the environmentally-friendly refrigerant, R410A and a chilled water system, while the EV Range with DC Inverter Compressors regulates the cooling capacity according to demand, from 30% to 100%.

In-built sensors control air temperatures precisely within a tight operating tolerance, resulting in reduced energy consumption. This provides higher efficiency under low load conditions.

EF “D, B/X & I/Y” Ranges

The EF “D” and the EF “B/X and I/Y” ranges are designed to fit in small to large coils with a maximum heat exchange surface. The ranges’ low coil face velocity reduces air friction loss, ensuring that the data centre units operate at the highest efficiency. The EF range has an option with underfloor EC fan, designed to deliver top performance with a minimal carbon footprint.

The EF range can also optionally be fitted with an Electronic Pressure Independent Valve (EPIV) that will incorporate a flow meter and a 2-way control valve. The actuator has a powerful algorithm that modulates the control valve to maintain and measure the water flow rate regardless of variations in system differential pressure.

EF “D (C-version)” Range

The EF “D (C-version)” range is based on the CW system with two sets of chilled water coils within a single cabinet, connected to two independent sources – a primary and a secondary source. During maintenance of the primary source, or when a fault is detected, the secondary source will activate, for continuous operation.

EF B/X & I/Y” Ranges

The EF B/X & I/Y” ranges consist of two systems (the DX and CW systems) within one cabinet. The CW system runs as the primary source and operates with low cost chilled water with the DX system taking over when there’s a fault or a shut down in operations for maintenance. Buildings with centralised chilled water supply may use the CW system as the primary system with the DX system acting as a secondary source after office hours.

EF C/L Ranges

The EF Chilled Water series is based on a unique dual coil systems designed to provide the highest level of redundancy. Should a fault be detected in the primary system, the unit operating condition will be closely monitored while performing the switch from primary to the secondary system with the CITEC Intelligent Genius-U Controller.

This series is available in two different ranges: EF “C” and EF “L”, to cater to various requirements and applications.

EF “C” Range

Designed to fit in a large coil with a maximum heat exchange surface for enhanced efficiency.

This unique dual coil series is designed to provide the highest level of redundancy. There are two types of dual coil systems: the dual chilled water system and a system which combines direct expansion and chilled water. Should a fault be detected in the primary system, the switch from the primary to the secondary system will be performed and the unit operating conditions will be closely monitored, thanks to the CITEC Intelligent Genius-U Controller.

Product Features

Innovative Modular Design Complies With Technology
The modular concept offers flexibility in combining two smaller-sized units, making it ideal for a limited corridor space. It also lets you add an additional unit to an existing installed unit to meet more complex cooling requirements in the event of an expansion.
Double Skin Access Panel
The G-Volution PRO series is equipped with a robust solid and rigid double skin insulated front access panel. The double skin insulated panel with rubber gasket lining provides excellent sound isolation and prevents air leakages when the unit is in operation.
Full Front Access
Built-in components are easily accessible from the front which makes maintaining and servicing the unit, significantly easier.
Electronic Expansion Valve
The innovative Electronic Expansion Valve (EEV) provides highly efficient control of the refrigerant flow based on real-time feedback. The EEV can provide fast, stable, and precise control even under low-load conditions. The presence of the temperature and pressure probe allows for real-time monitoring of suction temperature and pressure, as well as the superheat of the system.
Advanced Cooling With Underfloor EC Fan

An underfloor version of the EC fan is available for downflow models. Studies have shown that the placement of underfloor EC fans contribute to a 10% to 15% improvement in performance and is recommended for users who would like to fully utilise the EC fan to its maximum capacity. These fans are pre-wired and pre-packaged into the Precision Air Conditioning unit prior to delivery, for instant installation.

With the innovation of CITEC, the underfloor EC fan is mounted to the base of the unit and lowered under the raised floor during site installation. This promotes:

  • Better air flow distribution.
  • Reduction of fan power input.
  • Convenience of service and maintenance.
  • Cost savings on installation and equipment.

Direct Drive EC Fan System

The Electronically Commutated (EC) fan motor combination offers a number of advantages over the traditional belt-driven forward curved centrifugal blower, such as:

  • Higher efficiency compared to forward curved fans.
  • Reduced losses due to the absence of pulley and belt usage in the standard belt-driven fan.
  • 15-30% more energy savings.
  • Variable speed control.
  • Maintenance-free, higher reliability.
  • Soft start feature, where the fan slowly ramps up to the desired speed.
